Since 1941 the Bach Society of Saint Louis has been performing the choral music of Johann Sebastian Bach and other classical and contemporary composers. Each year this nonprofit organization delivers a varied and exciting season in a wide range of concert, educational, and outreach programs to educate, entertain, and enrich the lives of the people in the St. Louis region. The ensemble, founded by Dr. William Heyne, has been reliably but unobtrusively throbbing near the city's musical life since 1941. Its musical raison d'etre is, of course, to keep alive "the great choral works of the Western tradition."
This is the Bach Society's second appearance with Crescendo Concert Series and the first Christmas concert brought to St. Charles by director Dr. Dennis Sparger. We welcome this highly sought-after choral group to enrich our holiday season.
